Family Therapy at a Distance: A Case of Depression
This case of a Middle Eastern medical student shows the therapist learning to deal with a depressed man using a directive approach.
The primary directive was to have the medical student write a letter to his father who was living in the Middle East. This proved to be a difficult task for the supervisor in relation to the family. It illustrates the parallel between therapy and supervision. Haley arranges a change for both of them. VD-13235 (55minutes). Also available in PAL format.
